I was wondering if anyone had a simple elegant solution to this problem…

I have in my head a footer that is fixed to the bottom of the page, simple enough. But when the main content expands higher than the height of the browser it will take the footer with it.

I could use a little jquery to measure the document height, then change the positioning if the height of the content exceeds that of the window. But, jquery isn’t my forte and wondered if there’s an elegant solution using css.

    Any ideas?

This is called a sticky footer. There are tons of examples for you out in the interweb world!

Haha jees, now who looks the amateur. For some reason I’d got it into my head the sticky footer method just let everything disappear underneath it.

    Thanks for the help mate
