    Hi,
Having solved my last problem, I have a new one I don’t understand. The code is here http://codepen.io/anon/pen/GJzqqJ
This is in the early stages of layout so just set up divs – banner, nav, and some content divs, and footer div. I’ve put a clear:both on the footer. A media query has been started at the bottom. But from what I have done so far, I’m expecting to see the footer sit below the content divs above it. In the live site http://www.darlingmagazine.co.uk/INDEX2.html you can see the footer is floating beneath. I put a height on the footer but that hasn’t helped either. Where am I going wrong?
    Thank you! :)

    Hi Atelierbram,
thank you SOOO much for what you’ve done here. You’ve even managed to centre those images within the divs which I had attempted and failed and was going to be my next task (or post!) once I’d sorted out the footer. I’m trying to go one step at a time so I know what has caused what trouble! You have helped me enormously! Now what I need to do is study the css and html you’ve provided and see exactly what you’ve done and why so I can learn. You’ve even taken the trouble to amend some of the styling code AND you’ve commented out mine so I can see what you’ve done where. i am so grateful to you for taking the time to do that. I have copied both your html and css and created a new start with these but before i move on I’m going to study it!!!

Thank you so much once more. I can’t tell you how much I love this site and the people on it!! :)
