Just wanted to give everyone a heads up about a problem I recently encountered. Having been a fan of Firefox from the beginning I naturally updated to 3.6, having also heard that it has a new feature which highlights errors in red when viewing in source code.

OMG, the darn thing will not open any file locally either regular html files or .php through Mamp, unless you open up a new blank page and physically type in the address.. So as a designer who is constantly testing pages that is a big pain in the workflow. I checked on Firefox forums and it seems a lot of people have the same problem. They do know about a bug causing it not to open files with spaces in the name…duh, but that does not seem to be everyone’s problem.

I have now deleted it off the Mac and am reverting to 3.5.8 with which I had no problems. Here is the link to how to revert back in case anyone needs it.
