Alright, so I am in the process of slowly getting my personal website updated to its new redesign. While there’s still a lot left to do, I am happy with the way it’s turning out so far. However, I’ve run into two problems that I’m not sure I have the knowledge to do, so I’m looking for some help.

    1. On the homepage, I have a huge main banner that I want to display multiple photos in. The goal is to have it fade to a different image every few seconds. The reader can then click on the image and it will bring them directly to the blog post or page the content of the picture is on.

I know this is something I can figure out by googling/common knowledge, but I just wanted to see what you guys had first.

    2. This is the tricky one. On my homepage I have this little section – http://i.imgur.com/lWvCm0i.png

This is basically to display the most recent post of my blog (blog powered by wordpress). Right now, I just have random text and a random image in there for a placeholder, but I would like for it to actually function – meaning that every time I make a post on my blog, that little section updates itself automatically to reflect the post. I would like for it to look just like that (picture and a short summary that’s clickable).

I have no idea how to go about this, so any help/links/etc would be appreciated!

My site is – http://www.thewiredlife.net (note, under heavy construction so things aren’t all working)

    Thanks :)

Is your site static or is it also using WordPress as a CMS?
