This series was very helpful, for sure!
However I do not want to edit my own site. What I need to do is edit a site that isn’t my own. This video series already showed me how to add hyperlinks, and I found another one that tells me how to add in a backround image. However what I cannot find is a video that shows how to edit from another site. Where do I add the site on the file? Can someone help me?

MemberEdit a site you don’t own!?
Why? I don’t understand what you are trying to do.

ParticipantYou can’t edit a site you don’t own just as you can’t walk in and redecorate a house you don’t own.
However I have a feeling when you say “edit a site that isn’t my own” you really mean something else.

MemberThere are browser extensions that will allow you to adjust CSS for sites as it appears to you. Is that what you’re after.
Or perhaps you’re trying to affect an

ParticipantYou see, there’s this site channel I have all to myself that I want to add a background to. (https://cytu.be/ is the site if anyone needs it. My channel is here https://cytu.be/r/SedNemoNos.)
If I want to make a background, it tells me to make a CSS in order to do it. I looked it up, and understand how, but what I don’t understand is exactly how do I do it if it’s not even my site? How would I even get the code?
For example, here’s someone explaining how to do the background things, but how does he get the website to connect to CSS?

Moreover, how is this possible with someone else’s website?
Hope this explains things better….

ParticipantMoreover, how is this possible with someone else’s website?
It’s not possible, unless maybe you’re a developer hired by the owner.
If you don’t own the site, you can’t edit it. It’s as simple as that. As has been said you can change how you see it, but you can’t change how anyone else sees it. That is totally different as you’re not really changing the site, but just changing how it looks in your browser.
If that’s all you want, find a browser extension that will let you override the site’s CSS styles.
Some sites will let you upload assets like an image or choose some options to customize your part of the site (like an avatar image, for example), but if the site doesn’t offer that option you’re out of luck.
If you want to add a background everyone can see, contact the site’s owner and see if that’s a feature they might add.

ParticipantI guess I would have to ask for the code since I have witnessed other people’s pages (such as this http://cytu.be/r/mlpanniversary) and their background can be seen as well.
I don’t know where to find this browser extension, so could anyone suggest some to me?
Still, thank you all for the huge help. I really honestly appreciate it very much.
EDIT:https://github.com/calzoneman/sync/wiki/CyTube-3.0-Installation-Guide#configuration
Do you think that if I followed all of these steps, I would be able to get the code?

MemberThere seem to be instructions for adding your own CSS in the FAQ.
I’d read that carefully.
Theme – Switch between different color schemes
Layout – Switch between different content layouts
User CSS – Apply a custom stylesheet to the page
Channel CSS – Optionally ignore custom CSS from channel pagesMay 29, 2015 at 9:55 pm #202998iju
ParticipantI talked with the one of the helpers of the site on a live chat and he got me right on track.
Still,I thank all of you for taking the time out to help a person such as me. I honestly appreciate it. I’ll take my leave now.
Once again, thank you all.
