    Just curious to know why does the display inline-block applied on block level elements changes the vertical alignments.

    The div’s get aligned properly on setting vertical alignment to top.

    I guess someone cleverer than me could go into a much more detailed explanation about the DOM and positioning systems but I really don’t need one…it just works and I like it.

    It’s nice to have options…top/middle/bottom.
