I do not want a full fledged CMS. Just the ability to allow the customer to control small section of a web page(s).

Looking for some guidance on creating small sections within a website that the customer can add and edit content, preferably through a form. I currently use a simple Pearl script that is hopelessly outdated.

I know there are better options out there but which one is the best?

I would prefer a solution that does not come with a reoccurring monthly fee. Free is preferable obviously, but if there is an impressive demo and I pay one up front fee I would not be opposed to that.

SurrealCMS is pretty decent as well — haven’t used it extensively, but it’s free and gives clients editing capabilities.

Second for SurrealCMS. Again, I haven’t used it extensively either, but it’s really good for letting clients edit any part of a page where there’s text
