Hi all,
I’m trying to figure out how to create a shape that looks somewhat like one side of a subtle inverted star. Basically an angular edge that cuts in at -7º then cuts back out toward the bottom at 7º…
Anyone who really knows their CSS shapes out there, a holler would be super appreciated. (I can share a link if useful.)
Thanks a bunch.
Hi Mthrlwd!
Maybe if you posted an image of what you want, it would help… I don’t understand what you want from your description. Anyway, have you seen this post?
Thanks, Mottie!
I did look through and try some of those custom shapes, just can’t seem to get any of them to play ball for what I need.
Here’s an image of the shape I’m trying to create.
Is this what you are after? http://jsfiddle.net/sl1dr/H9U86/
Thanks Josh! I’ve been trying to catch up with other projects that I didn’t get a chance to mess around with this… anyway you are way better at css than me ;)
@Mottie Very modest of you, even if not necessarily true. I do enjoy messing around with CSS!
JH/mottie – thanks a mill!
you both rule.
this is awesome, JH.
i’d boil it down without the gradients, but otherwise: shape is achieved.
thanks and i’ll work to pass it on, mos def…
@mthrlwd No worries, chop and change it at will!
