    hi,

    basic question
    all tutorials state … use quotes

    xyz {background: url("img/bg.png");}

    but I saw a lot without quotes

    xyz {background: url(img/bg.png);}

    hell, no quotes = faster, more convenient :]
    so does it work in all borwsers, does it really matter?

    I also like to use single quotes.

    +1 for single quotes.

    I like that it changes colour if I add quotes. I feel like it makes my stylesheet easier to read. Having said that, I haven’t used quotes within the url() value… ever =)
