    I am new to building a mega dropdown menu and navigation with three/four states using css sprites.

    It’s working in IE7, but not in Chrome or Firefox. Basically the selected item will not stay (on – darker colored image). I am new to psuedo classes and image navigation. I’m really close, but have spending hours trying to fix this nav.

    Any suggestions as to why the on or selected state will not stay on as the user clicks to the dropdown?
