Box shadow and radius not working in IE8. What’s the best fix?

What I’m wanting is for box shadow is something like this does. I tried to implement this to a page I’m working on, but the code causes the background image to be covered. I’m using an inner div with an opacity and an outer which has an image. The body background is red which is the colour which covers the image.

Ok, I found PIE. Mmmm…Pie! I have the radius working for the outer div and the shadow is working too, but the inner div radius is not. There are other files with the PIE download. Are they needed to be linked also?

I’ve made a pen for this and still can’t get the transparency to work correctly in IE8 for the white background. Anyone know a solution?
