Before I do this I want to know what I am getting myself into. My boss asked me if I can add a picture animation to the header of the company website. I know this can be done using a flash animation, however I do not know how flash and CSS work together.

I already created the flash animation; now all I have to do is insert it. Being that the flash animation will be taking over the header, I imagine that it is not an easy task. I have done some research on flash and CSS and it seems complicated.

    Can CSS work with flash?
If so, what is the simplest way to go about this?

My boss also asked if I can have a dropdown menu on the site as well. This is another adventure, being that I have never made a drop down either.

Any advice will be most appreciated.
    Thanks for your time.

You should put the flash in your HTML not in your CSS.
You can use <embed> tags for this. But you also have nice worked out solutions which give you more options like swfobject.
