Creative Way to Feature a PDF via jQuery

I’ve done a bit of searching but have been coming up short on this.

Has anyone out there come across anything effective to feature PDF content as a ‘Digital Edition’ something that has been done using the Flash platform.

I need to turn a PDF into a digital booklet with features such as zooming in and out all done with JavaScript/jQuery.

The only other alternative I can think of other than Karl’s suggestion would be to use Google Docs. It does work across browsers, but you have less control over it.
