ParticipantI’ve tried searching everywhere to understand how to use Bootstrap, but it’s just way too confusing for me. I was told to use Bootstrap if I wanted my layouts responsive and I’ve tried studying the codes on the free templates that are available. There’s a particular look I’m trying to achieve, basically a two column layout? I guess that’s what they’re considered.
Here are a couple of examples:

http://itsacrimethemepreview.tumblr.com/theme30
http://alphathemes.tumblr.com/theme04I know these are tumblr themes, but I’m trying to create a sidebar (on either side) with content, a navigation up top and a footer. I’ve attempted several different ways to achieve this particular look and even tried using different templates to edit.
Like these:
http://blackrockdigital.github.io/startbootstrap-simple-sidebar/ (for the left sidebar)
http://www.w3schools.com/bootstrap/tryit.asp?filename=trybs_temp_webpage&stacked=hYou can see my failed attempts here:
http://codepen.io/edonian/pens/popular/Layout 2 was coming along okay, but when I added the image, everything just got weird and I’ve been having issues with the footer.
For Layout 4, I just used the bootstrap nav for the footer. And I took the sidebar from the blackrockdigital github page but I’m having issues with the sidebar and the content in the container is not really behaving the way I want as well. I obviously don’t know how to work any of this. Does anyone here know any thorough tutorial sites? It seems I’m constantly encountering some issues with this and codementor.io is -way- too expensive for me.
