Any suggestions for a self-hosted video platform for publishers?
We publish news videos currently on Youtube, would like to add the ability to also host our own preroll ads etc. to monetize our channel.

Having trouble finding any platforms that are not third party hosted.

I’ve seen some Youtube clone installables like clipbucket:
    http://clip-bucket.com/
It has a softaculous one-click install.
But creating a Youtube clone is not really the goal.

I had noticed one yesterday called Kaltura Open Source Video:
    http://www.kaltura.org/
But there’s no way for me to install that one on my shared hosting sandbox for testing, that one did look promising though.

Attempted to get an Inline Video Banner serving thru Revive Adserver (aka used to be OpenX ads).
So far no dice, hard to find appropriate tutorials :(

I can’t believe nobody told me to check into mediaelement.js
Looks like maybe the ‘golden ticket’ I’ve been looking for.
With solid code examples in the github download, I think I’m all set.

I’ve seen samples for pushing both Youtube and Vast video prerolls thru plugins.
Also it’s built into WordPress core and there’s a WP plugin version, that’s where I get a bit confused. I totally get the stand alone js library, so off to a good start.

As usual I’m late to the party.
