To answer your actual question, you’ll need to use some JS. How much or how little depends on your site.

thanks! @TheDoc its an alternative to what i asked.

@TheTechBox – by size i meant like if the content(e.g.- an image) is of 100kb and it is loaded 50kb, then the spinner should show 50% loaded..
