Hello, I’m creating a WordPress-powered site and I’m just wondering what the best way is to go about this. The site won’t be 100% blog, the home page will display the latest 5 posts and there will be a blog section that will have the archive, comments etc. There will be two other static (more or less) pages that don’t need any WordPress functionality. Should I build the whole site on WordPress? Where should I install it? The main html directory or in the blog directory then call the latest posts on the homepage?

I would build the whole site in WordPress. I just completed my first real wordpress build and found the system to work really well as a cms.

This video helped me out quite a bit: https://css-tricks.com/video-screencasts … -as-a-cms/

    Cheers,

    Cory
