I have a customer that is requesting a website that will include the list below. Obviously, I will need to utilize a CMS. I have downloaded a template from Website Baker, but I don’t understand how to maneuver in it. I really don’t see where to begin. They only want access to the Blog, Calendar of Events and Photo Gallery. I was honest with them and told them that I have never worked with one of those sites and I feel that it is going to take me a while to learn it. Please help, because I don’t know PHP and that is what is in the markup. I hope that this makes sense to someone. Maybe I should try a WordPress Template, please advise.
• I’d like a blog with commenting feature
•PayPal as payment processor
• A plugin for playing videos on your website
• Calendar/Events listing
• Photo gallery for displaying photos
• Contact Us form
• Search engine friendly links
• I’d like to track and measure website traffic
How?
Ok…maybe there is something missing here. I have never worked with a CMS before, so this is really confusing to me. Where can I find information on starting from the beginning?
And/or you can go to the source… http://www.wordpress.org ;)
