I was just wondering why the project did not gather much steam?

How many people where using it? and paying for it?

I think it was called “Status”, or “StatusHQ.” It’s never possible to know exactly why some projects do well and other don’t… but here are some guesses.

    – Me and Richard were way crappier designers and developers at the time
    – Yammer (https://www.yammer.com/) came out right at that time and was pretty awesome
    – Just didn’t provide enough value to be worth paying for right off the line
    – We gave up pretty early and did AMSU instead

To answer your usage questions, I think we had a few hundred people try it and maybe one or two pay for it.

Also got me thinking — I’m a huge believer in “Design driven development”, which this was not.
