I am working with bootstrap 3 to build my first responsive template and I am having some difficulty. Here is the site

    http://www.themebuddies.com/sites/bakery/

you can see that there are 3 boxes and there is only suppose to be 20px space between them using the col-md-4 but the row is 1028px wide and I thought it would only be 940 wide. So how do I change the width of the row? Do I have to alter all the css in the bootstrap.css or can this be set up from the beginning?

    to summarize

The row should be 940 but is 1028
