Hi,
I have a website with static content and few contact us forms , mailing the enquiry details to mail id’s. which are good servers for hosting them.
I don’t know how other designers and developers around here feel about this. I seem to run into those who either strongly agree or strongly disagree. But I personally have never had any issue with Godaddy.com for static sites. But if your site’s audience will be mostly local, then I recommend seeing if there is a local company who could provide hosting, because a local host may work for your site’s needs.
This is not a proper section for this discussion. Anyways…

I’ve been with GoDaddy for a while, never had a problem… however they constantly bombard their clients with offers even if you are trying to make simple change in your cpanel. On top of that you have their owner shooting down elephant for fun. So I left.
I’ve moved on to Dreamhost, been happy with simple interface and great customer service, although, recently I’ve been experiencing some email issues.
I hear great things about HostGator and StableHost.
