I am currently in the process of developing a website that is one page with 6 sections which are anchor linked.
What is the best method of achieving this in WordPress? I do not want to create one page and use a shed load of custom fields – I would rather have 6 individual pages that are all pulled into one?
You could make 6 POSTS, and then have your one page just load the content (not excerpts) of all those posts. Which is pretty much the default functionality of the homepage anyway.
Would that still work with custom fields? Seems a bit confusing from a clients point of view to be editing posts rather than pages.

This might be an interesting start to look at? http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/query_posts
In particular, go with the index.php querying through all pages rather than posts.
I’m kind of wondering why WordPress was the logical choice in this case. Is there anything that couldn’t be achieved in something more simple?
