I’ve been looking everywhere for a way to learn javascript. Books seem to be too outdated, and alot of tutorials online seem outdated. Is there a modern visual way to learn javascript? And whats the best way to become a master of this language?

Start with The New Boston on youtube. He’s got some great tutorials on anything from php to html to ‘javascript’ to objective c.

    Hope that helps.

Best way of becoming a master – Go to a good college and get a masters degree. Not to be a smart aleck at all, but it’s true.

Don’t automatically discount books — the better series have excellent online support, both in terms of downloadable code and examples, user forums, etc. Sitepoint books are usually excellent: clearly written, in depth, with a focus on real-world application. They also have outstanding online courses that are very affordable.
