Hey everyone, I’m new here so please excuse any improper form on my part..

So here’s my issue. I’m working using a wordpress theme, and I’m trying to achieve a gradient effect when transitioning from the sidebar menu on the left to the content on the right. I have used CSS to tile a background image over the area of the menu, and then I’ve used the built in theme options to set the background for the actual pages, a lighter version of the same texture.

I have created an image with a gradient between the two textures, and what I’m trying to do is repeat the image with the gradient vertically, on top of the background I placed in theme options. I’m running into a problem though.

The repeated gradient image is behind the menu on the left, but when I add some margin-left it moves the content with it. Am I missing something? I have a sneaking suspicion that I’m making a rookie mistake.. Any help would be appreciated! URL: http://www.alycephotography.uni.me/wpdev

Thanks in advance to any and all replies :)
