I use a Windows OS and cannot test the validity of certain codes for Mac computers. I am trying to ensure my information is as correct as possible.
My issue:
I am writing a page for Alt codes, and was wondering if Apple users use the same “Alt codes” for characters as Windows does, or if they have to use special keys.

My questions:
How are ASCII/ANSI characters accessed by Mac users?
Is using text editors (such as Notepad++) on Windows the same as Mac?
I might think about using a VM for creating an Apple partition, but have not used an Apple computer since they had green screens and the “floppy disc” was actually floppy.
