This is stupid, but I can’t find the answer, what do websites use as code for an option to upload my files to their server?
I found a trick one day that I had mistakenly not added a link to my tag:
[less than] a href = “” [greater than] no closing anchor tag
also [less than] a href [greater than] no closing anchor tag
It opened my file explorer.
What I am looking to do is see if I can use a link to open a Windows OS for a sound file on my visitor’s computer… For example, use a link to open up c:\Windows\Media\Windows.Background.wav
I know I can just copy the darn thing, but it got me to thinking is this a possibility? Google search sucks!
Its unclear what you’re trying to do.
Are you asking how to upload a sound file through a web browser and then play it via a media player on your website?
Are you asking if it’s possible for a website/browser to interact with OS sound files on visiting computers?
Are you asking how to do something different?
If you are more concise with your requirements and intentions, somebody may be able to offer suggestions, or at least give you a good starting point for where to begin your research.
Actually EDIT:
I can post exactly what I did any it will open up the file.
When it comes time to find the rest of the issue, I will post it.
