My first impression is that it looks like it was based on a theme.

I think it looks good. Although you should make it responsive.

The logo needs to change entirely. Copying Apple’s logo makes no sense whatsoever for your company.

By the way, I wasn’t accusing you of using a theme. I just meant that it appears as if it was based off of one.

@Chrisburton, the apple logo is for dummy. the main logo is been worked upon. it will be unthinkable for any person to use another company’s logo.

    > I like it but the menu isn’t working for me in FireFox.

Pls which version of ff did use to access it? I have latest version of all browsers, and it’s working fine on them including ff.

Frankly, it’s way too early to start asking for reviews.

You haven’t put any work into customising what can only be regarded as a very generic layout towards the proposed subject matter.

I agree with @chrisburton — it definitely looks like it was based on a theme. Whether or not it actually was, is not the point. It just looks like a theme. Maybe it’s a little too much like so many other sites out there that made us think that.

It’s something I’ve seen many times before, I guess.

Here’s another one you ‘designed’…notice how similar it is?

Wow. Well, I write from scratch. It’s not a theme whatsoever. I first sketch on a paper then I start writing the html and then css. Actually, I’m really trying so hard to keep improving on my html/css. Currently, am learning js and php. So all these were designed by me from ground up:

Most of these are my proposed firms. I am doing them and storing while trying to perfect my html/css skills. I started learning web design October last year. I read a lot. I follow some persons, from Chris Coyier to Walton Trent to Sidebar.io to HtmlWeekly.
I implemented my first responsive technique on this site: http://ctrlshiftstudios.com, I want to replace it now with http://ctrlshiftstudios.com/layout

So you want us to review your CODE or your DESIGN?

Code is clean, nothing much wrong with the HTML/CSS.
But the design is just not that dazzling.

Yes, i agree. My UI design is still poor. I am reading and practicing everyday to catch some of the basics like color matching, typography and layout techniques.

I will post a new one tomorrow. I am working on it. Take a look: http://ctrlshiftstudios.com/web

I posted it here before looking for a little help on the hover behaviour of the mega menu. Have fixed it and hav finished the whole homepage. Will post it morrow. My internet connection cannot upload the header image. I will use school internet to do that once the day breaks.

In terms of the HTML, way too many divs going on: http://cl.ly/image/092q2Z3G382U

@TheDoc, thank u. The nav tag and the class nav are serving different purposes. The nav tag is 100% width, the nav class is 1000px with margin:0 auto
