A site I am doing for a friend of mine, please let me know what you think so far.

All right removed letter-spacing, and darkened background a smidge and lightened text a smidge, hopefully it helps, I must say I have had no problems reading the text but that is probably a forest for the trees kind of thing..

OK any better or is the image still too distracting?

Ok made a huge shift here I can move back to the middle some if needed but I am trying to increase readability first and then I can back it off as needed.

Anywho let me know, thanks in advance.

I think the problem your having with the text not being readable is the fact your using an image with so much going on (contrast wise) as your background image.

if this has less detail, you may see the page better.

or maybe bold your text, this may help

if your doing a photography site, then one of the best I have seen is this:
his site, shows exactly what he does, and it is very clear and great use of the space.

I think that if your doing a photography site, you may have to totally re-design, I don’t think you will get more than just family and friends visiting for very long.

you have to try and catch your audience, make them want to stay, not make it difficult for them to see/read and not to make it too much text either

I took ikthius’ advice and reworked the site, I am working with picture and frames right now so I used filler on the content area, but at least the basic layout is there. I wanted a few opinions before I went much further.

    Thanks much in advance.
