There are several options for customer support software that are free (for certain users). Freshdesk and Help Scout offer a fairly basic set of features for free for up to 3 support agents. Zoho Support also offers a free tier for an unlimited number of users. If you have less than three users, Desk and Zendesk offer cheap (but not free) plans at $36/user/year and $12/user/year respectively.
