Sorry, I got delayed but was going to suggest you did something similar for now :)

This is probably of no use to you whatsoever but I would do that page something like this and use automatic vertical alignment of the middle section combined with a sticky footer. No need to work out heights etc.

It’s probably too much for you to consider now but I just thought I’d throw it out there :)
