@Odde_E That’s not what Web 2.0 means, instead, I think you’re referring to Elliot’s infamous presentation “Destroy the Web 2.0 look”. Essentially he was referring to the design trends of that era.
I see these terms more than just a buzzword. I think it has more of a meaning than what Elliot’s presentation had focused on, which was design based.
