Now it seems you don’t want a sticky footer… You need to better describe the problem I think. You state you don’t want a gap between grey part and footer, but you also don’t want space below the footer. So the footer needs to stretch (or have the illusion of doing so). Where does the footer content go? At the top of the footer or the bottom, or centered or…? Now I’m beginning to think that Paulie had the right suggestion with the body background the same as the footer.
