@cssnew Ok, that makes sense to me. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could use the img tag for sprites! The other option is just to use padding on the appropriate element and use background-image without the need for a pseudo-element.

Still unsure why you can’t target the paragraph with a class though? It would be much more efficient.
