Actually, WordPress can be pretty simple depending how you go about it.

At first, I actually deleted my DB and all the work I did because WordPress had way too much bulk files for my taste. I then started rummaging through to find something other than Starkers. I found a theme based off of @ChrisCoyier’s “Blank WordPress Theme” – HTML5 Reset WordPress Theme

I simply love it. It’s extremely light and easy to customize.
