I used http://www.codeacademy.com, my opinion it’s one of the best to start learning from the begging. Also I liked http://www.quizful.com, there is a lot of html/css puzzels to solve, helped me also.
w3school is useful when you forgot something and you need quickly refresh it, but not for learning.
