However, a rookie mistake which we often see is the overuse of positioning.

These look attractive but are deceptively easy but very complex in reality.

Of the two main options I would suggest that you stick with inline-block and float.

That said, all of these methods have their uses and you will have to use them all at some point in time..often on the same page.

Find some tutorials on basic webpage layout and practice….a lot.
