beta testers, think its a good or bad idea? Kind of want them to go through and test out the security as of now.

Honestly, for right now, don’t waste their time. You’re not done building it yet. (Right?) I understand your eagerness, but —just like at the beginning of this discussion— you’ll benefit much more from discussion and code review than from asking people to do blind testing on the front end.

The only benefit might be in starting to build a user base. However, if that’s what you want, make sure you explicitly say so. Otherwise, people may feel you’re trying to bring them in under false pretenses.
