@JoshWhite, there’s a number of different ways

1. Use a service such as Kraken or Smush.it

Note: If you’re using a CMS, there’s probably a plugin you can use that’ll handle all of the handshaky bits between these and your media.

1. If you’re Grunting or Gulping, there’s plenty of imagemin style plugins out there. More config and tinkering required though.

2. Use a GUI based tool / editor extension ala: CodeKit, Prepros, etc.

That’s all I’ve messed around with. There’s probably plenty more out there.
