The Net Awards are now open for nominations. They are web industries longest running and biggest awards as far as I know. I think it’s nice to have people and teams get recognized for outstanding work.
These are the categories:
- Web app of the year
- API use of the year
- Podcast of the year (audio/video)
- Viral campaign of the year
- Innovation of the year
- Open source app of the year
- Mobile app of the year
- Mobile site of the year
- Site of the year
- Redesign of the year
- Brilliant newcomer award
- Young designer of the year
- Young developer of the year
- Designer of the year
- Developer of the year
- Agency of the year
I’m going to take some time to think about the categories and nominate accordingly.
They should go all out one year and make announcements of leading votes and release the winners live on uSTREAM
Not to be “that guy”… but, typo:
Fixed, thank you.
I nominated Forrst for the web app of the year. I think what Kyle and the rest of them over there have done gives designers/devs a community aspect that would’ve been unimaginable 4-5 years ago.
Please excuse my flattery, but I think it’s fair to say that CSS-Tricks is the Podcast of the year – although low in quantity, Chris knows what he’s doing (and he’s jokes). And as far a site of the year goes, CSS-Tricks as well? I think so: Chris deserves the recognition. Much love.
No categories for CSS efficiency?
I voded Forrst for web-app of the year.
I agree with Whymarrh, CSS-tricks has proven invaluable to me. I’ve been able to up my game significantly and produce better sites than ever before thanks to all the content on here. What really gets me is that none of it is ever useless, it’s all things we should be doing, presented in a clear, easy to understand format. So thanks Chris – I think you deserve an award!
I nominated CSS-tricks for site of the year, because of the outstanding number of resources it serves and the high quality of the articles Chris writes about both new and old web technologies. He has a fairly wide demographic and knows how to please the newbie web kitty as well as the expert web developer.
Nominated CSS-Tricks for Podcast of the year because they’re awesome and have been a source of inspiration and motivation for me since I started to get into web design and development a couple of years ago.
Keep up the great work!!
I’ve recommended last year CSS-Tricks and will also recommend it this year , definitely the Podcast of the year!
I’ve learned a lot from Chris back in the days when I’ve decided to start my web design career,I still recommend most of his old videos to every newbie who asks me about how to do things.
Keep up the great work Chris ,you’re awesome!
