New Screencast: Cutting Clipping Paths
We’re back in Photoshop this week because I wanted to talk a little bit about a very specific skill that I think is important for all designers. That is the Pen Tool and using it to hand-draw clipping paths. There are a variety of ways to make selections in Photoshop, but drawing a real vector path is the most tried-and-true and highest quality way to do so. Mastering this tool will make you a better designer and help unleash your creative potential.

Hey really like the screen casts, one thing that would be really cool however would be if you had some show notes, such as a link to the flickr picture you used, ect.

Chris, you asked about seeing keyboard shortcuts on screencasts?

@Tom: I suppose the page that the video is on kinda-sorta counts as the show notes page. I’ll try to be better at that and include links on that page for things I mention in the video. Good idea!
@Karl: Nice! I know I had seen something like that before I just couldn’t find it before I shot the video. That will be useful next time I do something like that.
