Since everyone out there is more experienced than I, I’m looking for some quick help :)

I downloaded a new template for my site and want to add my own images, etc, before I let it go live. I open the template file from my hard drive, I can see the images that came with the template, I right click on one of them-> inspect element ->edit as HTML and enter the image source, etc, but it doesn’t automatically save and I can’t see a “save” option anywhere.

It seems this it the only way I can add my own content prior to letting the template go live as I have no access to HTML and CSS until it’s live. Hope I haven’t confused anyone! Thank you for any help you can offer!

you can just open the files that you have with a editor (for windows you could just use notepad) and edit it there and save it and the upload to the internet … not sure if that is what you were looking for?

There is no saving with Web Inspector. I don’t see why you can’t edit the HTML or the CSS locally before putting it live.

Its possible there’s a way to edit the HTML and CSS before it goes live, but I don’t know how. I’ll have to play around with it a little more. Thanks for all your help!

if you right click on the on the .html file from your desktop you should see a spot that says “open with” you can choose notepad like I said if you have windows. If you edit the code live on the webpage you will have to copy and past that into the actual file that you have opened in notepad. Hope this helps! :)

@carlojohn open up the inspector, click on the code and presso ctrl+F (on windows) or cmd+F (on mac)
