Wp search returns blank page

On marensblog.dk the search field in the sidebar returns a blank page. I can see that the theme contains neither search.php nor searchform.php – shouldn’t it do that? Or what am I missing that makes the search not work?

I’ve figured out this much; if I ad /blog/ to the search result URL I get the right page

So marenblog.dk/?s=something is blank but marensblog.dk/blog/?s=something is the page I want.

But why?
