I have a strange issue.
The site I’m working on, under General Options, the site and blog url are WITHOUT the www.
This is fine, except that if, whilst logged in, if we type the url in with the http://www., the site doesn’t display the admin bar, as if I’m not logged in.
So would it be worth adding the www. to the URLs? Will it cause any issues? Does this matter? Should I leave it as it is?
It seems very bizarre to me that the admin bar would show for the non-www but not for the www.
Silly as it sounds http://www.google.com is different from google.com in as far as the domain name goes.
So WordPress looks to see if the current domain matches what’s in the options and displays the bar.
Hope that helps.
