which e-commerce product?

Hi,

Im new to css-tricks but absolutely lurve the videos thanks chris.

I want to offer online shops to clients who i do web design for. Does anyone have any recommendations of what to use? Ive just seen a vid from Chris where he uses pinnacle cart is this a good one? Are the free ones like oscommerce any good or too much of a nightmare to administer? what about hosted services are the any good to resell?

To be completely honest, when lookin at Ecomm – avoid the free ones, its not worth the hassle. If its a small project either use Paypals merchant options or the next step up which is FoxyCart.

Free just bring problems and with something paid for you get the support you need too. Plus if your customer doesn’t want to pay for Ecomm, then they don’t have a clue and shouldn’t be even thinking about it lol
