webcast tools

I’ve really learned alot through these webcasts. Thanks!

My question is what tool do you (Chris) use in the webcasts that makes the screen go dark except for where the mouse pointer is? I could really use that.

    Thanks

I am guessing that it is one of the features on iShowU… As he did a screencast about screencasting which was good as I now have a blip.tv for all of my streaming :)

Does anyone know of a tool like that? I’m looking for something like that to use for live presentations, so without the weight of screen capture software.

    Thanks

So i searched CSS-Tricks and found out that the tool he’s using is called Mousepose by boinx
    http://boinx.com/mousepose/overview/

I have to use windows for some of my presentations – so does anyone know of a tool for Windows with the same effects?

Many screen recording tools allow you to do this, Camtasia does and obviously iShowU HD does.
