Hello, I’m hoping you can help me with this (I hope) straightforward request as it’s driving me mad. I have literally learnt HTML/CSS this week so I’d really appreciate the feedback (any feedback!).#

I’ve uploaded my new website and everything looks fine on my work pc but when I view it on my laptop everything is misaligned – the menu and graphics have jumped off the page.

Also, I am trying to create a contact page, I did find an example on here and have tried incorporating it into mine but it does not work, if anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate them.

Finally, my links to PDF’s are not working, they worked fine when this was a text file so I am presuming it is to do with where the pdfs are now saved, I’ve uploaded them via FTP to the web and they are sitting in the same place as the html pages – is this correct?

I’d really appreciate any help on some or all or some these queries as I’m not getting much response (I’ve posted my problem on 5 forums now!). As I say this is all new to me and the web has taught me most of it but I definitely need some insider knowledge.

    Thanks

I’ve fixed my contact page – if someone could please offer me any advice on the alignment problem that would be really helpful

Hi. I’m no expert, but am curious about the difference between your PC at work and your laptop…which browser are you viewing with on both of those? I am seeing your photo on a black background with words over it and some links on the left…is that right? I’m looking in Firefox on a Mac.

Second, I notice you have spaces in your file names. If you have spaces in the names of your .pdf files, those are likely causing your problems. Try removing the spaces in all of the file names and that will probably clear up the .pdf problem (as well as other potential problems. I am seeing this link:

Try renaming your file to artandescape.pdf and changing your link appropriately. I think that might fix the .pdf problem.
