tutorials on photoshop or gimp for getting text correct

    hey everyone,

I am having a hell of a time trying to get a transparent image with the corect text to render correctly.

do any of you guys know any tutorials as google is not coming up with anything that works.

I am getting pixelated text, normally I have been given images to work with, but this time I need to make it up.

Normally gimp does a good job of making a colour transparent, but lately its becoming all pixelated as well, even doing it all myself.

so guys I need your help… please

Sorry, what exactly is your problem?

What are you saving the file as? (GIF, PNG-8, PNG-24)

Doc, I found something on Photoshop that you can save as bi-cubic smooth, this is making it better, but not 100% perfect, but at least it will make it look better.

if it does not suit i will show with an image what I mean.

sorry it is taking me time to reply, but been busy, this week.
