Transitioning a US site to launch in an Asian market

  • # August 20, 2012 at 3:02 pm

    Hey guys,

I’m working on a website for a client who is launching in the US this year but then looking to expand into Asia later next year. As I’m only just starting to build this now I’m wondering whether there is anything I need to know at this stage to make transitioning the site to an Asian market as easy as possible?

Does anyone have any experience in this? I’m guessing that the lowest level solution is just to use a translation tool and detect the users location or allow them to switch languages manually. I’m assuming that there’s probably a lot more to it than that though.

    Thanks in advance!
