Scrolling and animation smoothness issues…

    Hey all,

after my last [thread](http://css-tricks.com/forums/discussion/20195/fullscreen-not-scrolling-scrolling “”) i improved my concept of a fullscreen image on the main page and then a scrollable masonry layout in the archive. It’s now mostly on CSS and not too much on the JS heavy side anymore. But again stuff occurs that’s bugging me and I can’t help myself to get rid of it.

    [This](http://fb.megavillain.org/HTML/index.html “”) is what i have .

It works quite well except the jaggy scrolling animation and that the main page does not keep the browser from scolling when opened on an iOS device (tested it with iPad and iPhone).

What can i do to get the animation smoothness right and prevent iOS browsers from being able to scroll all the way? I’m lost :(

    Thanks tons in advance.

I’m using the latest version of firefox and I think the scrolling looks fine. It may be a little “choppy” but it doesn’t look bad. I built a site a while back that scrolls and it looks a little choppy in firefox, chrome seems a lot smoother transition.

yeah, i just thought it could be smoother because in my previoous mockup i used js for the rescaling of the background image and the scrolling animation was smoother than it is not. but that’s not too important. I mainly need to get the iphone riddle soved…
