I’m wondering if anyone has found a legitimate use for SASS 3.3’s @at-root{...}
directive? I’ve been thinking and I can’t come up with anything.
Found a lot of weak use cases. But this one’s legit (‘cept for the BEM part, of course, imo): http://unakravets.tumblr.com/post/64113156740/sass-3-3-at-root-bem
Will you ever have need for it? Dunno. If you don’t, it’s okay.
The problem I have with that, is that it is needlessly complicated. You could avoid all that trouble by less nesting. Sure it IS a use-case, but only if you like un-obvious code.
If anyone else comes up with something, I would very much like to see. There has to be a legitimate reason why it is there?
I actually really like the use-case for animations as seen here: http://alwaystwisted.com/post.php?s=2014-03-08-using-sass-33s-at-root-for-piece-of-mind
Other than that, I can’t see myself using the feature.

Is it? It’s seems pretty simple to me.
